Pray for Revival
Much prayer is needed to break the hard soil of the university. Indeed, the fruit seen on campus, and even hiring our current InterVarsity staff member, has been a direct result of prayer. There are a few ways to pray for this ministry:
1. PRAYER UPDATES
You can also see current prayer requests here.
2. ADOPT A STUDENT
You can "adopt" a student and pray for them specifically over the course of their time in graduate school. Graduate school is an incredibly challenging time for many on various levels. For some their faith is deeply challenged, for others their sense of identity and meaning is undermined, and still others can struggle with loneliness and depression as their work is carried out in isolation or is stymied in one way or another. Imagine what it would do for them if they knew that one or more ministry partners were praying for them. And, if you checked in on a semi-regular basis, it would remind them that 1) they are on campus for God and not themselves, 2) they are not alone, 3) God and other Christians outside the university care that they do well in their calling, and 4) they are here on a mission.
If you’re interested in partnering by adopting a student, we’re starting with leaders so take a look at our leadership team, pick one leader to adopt, and email us to get you connected.
3. PRAYER WALKS
At certain points throughout the year we will invite anyone interested to prayer walk with us around the campus. Ideally these prayer walks would consist of staff, students, and ministry partners. If you would be interested in joining in on such a prayer walk, email us and we’ll put you on our prayer walk list. If you are local or ever in the area, and you'd like to do a one-off prayer walk, let us know as we'd love to make that happen.
4. PRAYER AT EVENTS
If you are interested in praying over an event while attending our event, let us know and we can figure out a way to make that happen. We could use prayer for our large group meetings, our leaders' training events, and fellowship retreats.
5. Pray for more ministry partners
Our ministry is limited by how many ministry partners we have and by our funding base. Pray for God to grow these so that we can do ever more to reach the people, ideas & structures of the university.
