Welcoming the Fall and New Students
To bond with new students and create a low key space for seekers, we hosted an apple picking trip. Last year we were rained out. This year we advertised to the whole school and we had enough students to load both a 15 passenger rental van and a car or two. We didn’t expect so many people, including some who weren’t Christian, to sign-up!
The ride down, the fun of picking apples, eating apple cider donuts, and cooking apple pies afterwards created a space where many of us were able to both help new students feel part of the fellowship and have many interesting conversations with our non-Christian guests.
Please pray that our non-Christian guests would continue to connect with GCF and that our time together would create both trust and curiosity in their lives about Jesus. Pray for our new students to continue coming out to GCF and to build close friendships with other Christians in their year.
